The Mi True Wireless Earbuds Basic 2 feature a compact and lightweight design and are in-ear, meaning they are embedded in the ear. This design, made of durable ABS plastic, allows the wireless earbuds to stay in place, and they also boast IPX5 sweat- and splash-proof certification.
The in-ear design and three eartip styles meet the requirements for closure and firmness. Each earbud weighs 4.1 grams and fits snugly in the ears.
The Xiaomi Mi True Wireless Earbuds Basic 2 do not include active noise cancellation technology, however, their design and fit create passive isolation, allowing you to listen to music or receive calls without filtering out too much noise.
Equipped with a 7.2mm driver that delivers deep low-frequency and mid-to-high frequency response, and with an intelligent DSP noise reduction system, you can enjoy high-quality sound and clear voice calls.
These Basic 2 earbuds have a multifunctional physical button, thus reducing false touches and voice control. The way to operate these devices is by clicking to interact, the commands being the following;
- 1 Touch - Play/Pause music or answer call
- 1 Touch - to answer/cancel call.
- 1 Press - long to hang up a call
- 2 Taps - Activate voice assistant (requires opening the phone and voice assistant function)
The Mi True Wireless earphones feature the latest Bluetooth 5 chip with improved connectivity that allows both earphones to be connected directly to the device separately. They can be used individually, eliminating synchronization issues.
The connection is fast and stable, its data transmission capacity is faster with any device, and they have a wireless range of up to 10 meters.
The battery lasts for 4 hours of continuous playback on a single charge and 12 hours with the case. Each earbud has a 43mAh battery, and the case has a 300mAh battery.
The Earbuds Basic 2 Bluetooth headphones are an excellent choice for those looking for sound quality and comfort.
It's worth mentioning that the Xiaomi Airdots and Earbuds are essentially the same product with different designs. The Earbuds are the global version of the Airdots, which were initially launched in China. Both have similar internal components and features, including Bluetooth 5.0.
The main difference between the two products lies in their designs, with the Redmi line being more affordable and discreet, while the Xiaomi line is slightly larger and features touch controls. The choice between the two designs ultimately comes down to personal preference.
