Poco F3 GT, un gamer con todo.

Xiaomi has a "new" gaming smartphone, now under the umbrella of POCO. The POCO F3 GT has been officially unveiled after a wave of rumors and becomes the company's first gaming- focused smartphone, although it's actually an old acquaintance.

The POCO F3 GT is actually the international version of the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition, which was introduced in April in China. In this way, Xiaomi and POCO are repeating the strategy we've seen numerous times before: Redmi remains exclusive to China, while POCO brings its renowned smartphones to other markets around the world.

As mentioned, the POCO F3 GT is the same smartphone as the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition, with only a change in the branding on the back. Otherwise, all of its technical specifications remain exactly the same and unchanged. And that's not a bad thing.

The POCO F3 GT has a 6.67-inch flexible OLED display with FullHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. However, what stands out most is its 480Hz touch response for a smoother gaming experience, HDR10+ support, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. For power, it relies on a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset (the same one used by the new OnePlus Nord 5G), accompanied by 6 or 8 GB of RAM, and 128 or 256 GB of storage. MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 with POCO Launcher is the factory-installed operating system.

As for the cameras, it features a triple array with a 64-megapixel main sensor and a curious lightning-bolt flash. Additionally, the RGB lights that illuminate during gaming sessions are located around the cameras. Another very important aspect of the POCO F3 GT are the physical triggers on its side that appear with the flick of a switch. With these, POCO promises a better gaming experience, as it claims they are better than the virtual triggers that other gaming smartphones on the market include.

Finally, we only have to talk about battery life and connectivity. The POCO F3 GT has a 5,065 mAh battery with 67W fast charging, the fastest ever built into a smartphone from the company. On the other hand, the POCO F3 GT has 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and integrates dual speakers signed by JBL and with Dolby Atmos certification.
