MIUI 14 llega para actualizar celulares Xiaomi, Redmi, POCO y Black Shark

The release of MIUI 14, the latest version of the custom skin for Android-based smartphones found on phones like Xiaomi, Redmi, POCO, and Black Shark, is now official.

This version is not closely tied to the version of Android you have because, although the most updated one so far is Android 13, MIU 14 will be able to work with Android 12 without any problem.

What's new in MIUI 14?

Stay with us, we'll tell you all about it here.

What's new in MIUI 14

  • Let's start by talking about its interface design, in MIUI 14 we will find larger icons, new elements in the interface and a quite colorful visual design with animations of pets and plants .
  • Another new feature is that it features a cleaner system, meaning it has fewer pre-installed tools and apps. This is an advantage that newer smartphones can take advantage of, as existing ones can update without any changes to the apps. Therefore, cleaning your phone will have to be done manually.
  • What has been very popular is the announcement of improved battery performance, with talk of up to 50% more battery savings compared to MIUI 13.
  • Energy efficiency is also reported to be higher than that of MIUI 13, with talk of 22% more.
  • It is also expected that there will be less memory usage by the system.
  • There are some very positive feature changes in the Gallery app, for example, you can copy text from a photo and a Memories mode is now available for framing older photos.
  • The “Settings” history list has become more organized, categorized, and everything looks clearer and more visible.
  • And, of course, one of the big benefits of most updates is the security patch, which lasts until February 2023. So you'll also have a more secure phone.

In conclusion, the changes are not radical, but they are important for having a more modern phone.

And… when will MIUI 14 be available?

MIUI 14 is now available for download on most phones, however, you should know that it is arriving in stages and has not been the same by region or type of phone.

To find out if it's already available on your phone, go to Settings > About phone, where you can check the MIUI version you currently have.

If you're using MIUI 13 or earlier, tap "Check for updates," and the system will search for available updates for your phone model. If it offers you one, tap it immediately to begin the process.

You'll then need to restart it to enjoy the new update.

You will need to follow this procedure for as many updates as you find until you reach MIUI 14.

If you don't have MIUI 14 available yet, you have two options.

The first is to wait and see if your phone appears on the list of those that will receive MIUI 14. And the second is to do it yourself so that you have it today.

If you want to do it yourself, we'll give you a tip in an upcoming article on the tips blog. Stay tuned!
