Apple seems to be late to the party, but all signs point to it arriving as soon as this year.
It happens that although the competition has been encouraged to implement 120 Hz on the screen for more fluid movement (Samsung did so since S20), the iPhone 12 resisted the update, but now The Elec indicates that the manufacturing of the displays has begun by Samsung.
The rumor, picked up by MacRumors , adds to a series of previous rumors. Our colleagues at Applesfera reported this at the end of 2020, when The Elec revealed that 120Hz wouldn't be available on all models, but only on the most advanced ones.
According to rumor, the updated version of the panel would be in two of the four models, corresponding to the Pro versions.
Now, Korean outlet The Elec details that Samsung would be in charge of that production, while LG Display would be in charge of the panels for the less-equipped versions. Furthermore, the report claims that we will see the iPhone 13 arrive in September, as was usually the case before 2020.
