OnePlus is gearing up for its next launch, which is expected to feature the OnePlus 12, a phone with strong leanings toward the brand's high-end range.
And although nothing is official yet, there are already rumors about the features and design this phone could have.
Read on for the latest information we've compiled from a variety of sources.
OnePlus 12 design according to test prototype
According to a test prototype made solely from images obtained exclusively by OnLeaks, we have been able to reveal what the One Plus 12 will be like.
According to the renders presented, it will surpass its predecessor, the OnePlus 11 , in design, a cell phone model that has stood out in 2023 for its mastery in combining power with elegance.
Since Qualcomm hasn't shown any indication of releasing the Snapdragon Gen 3 in the coming months, and given that the new OnePlus phone could be unveiled again in the fall of this year, it's likely that the OnePlus 12 will repeat the power of its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
On the other hand, since it is a high-end cell phone, its release on the market is likely to be in January 2024, as it did this year with OnePlus 11, the brand's flagship 2023 cell phone.
The renders shown show a change in the camera layout, the most notable feature of the design. A 6.7-inch Quad HD+ LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate can be seen. For the OnePlus 12, a periscope telephoto lens setup has been chosen, as opposed to the traditional telephoto lens found on the OnePlus 11.
Everything indicates that the OnePlus 12 5G will have a triple camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor with OIS as the main camera.
Moving to the front of the phone, the selfie camera location has been changed from the top left corner to the center, adopting a hole-punch selfie camera design just like its past models.
As for the battery and charging, everything points to this phone offering the same as the OnePlus 11, a 5,000mAh battery and 100W fast charging.
And what else is coming for OnePlus?
Rumors are growing that the brand is preparing to compete with Samsung Fold , as it is designing what is known as the OnePlus Open or One Plus Fold, which would be the brand's first foldable phone.
This confirms what was already suspected, that the brand is only targeting high-end phones.
So it's possible that the OnePlus 12 will be unveiled alongside the OnePlus Open. But this news still has a lot to cover, so we'll keep digging to bring you the latest news on OnePlus phones .
