OnePlus 11: Meet This New 2023 Phone

The first change you should notice is the device's name. Previous OnePlus flagship phones have carried the "Pro" moniker.

But this time the name is just OnePlus 11. As far as we know, there are no plans for a OnePlus 11 Pro model as of yet and the OnePlus 11 will remain the sole flagship model.

The list of highlights starts with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, the most powerful in Android, and is paired with up to 16GB of RAM.

The phone also has a Hasselblad-branded triple camera system, indicating its high aspirations.

OnePlus 11 release date

The OnePlus 11 was officially announced in China on January 4, and a global launch is scheduled for February 7. The OnePlus 11 will be available in the US.

It will most likely arrive in Chile sometime later. This will depend on the brand's shipping situation at that time.

From mid-September and later in December 2022, design images revealed what the OnePlus 11 will look like.

We now know the phone will have a massive, round camera module with three sensors. Previously, rumors had suggested a rotating camera island for the OnePlus 11, but that turned out not to be true.

Another notable design feature is the return of the Alert Slider, which we can see to the left of the camera module.

While OnePlus fans were happy enough to have it, some recent phones from the company didn't receive it, so seeing it return is a welcome sight as it adds distinctive early OnePlus vibes to this phone.

As for the cameras, we have a triple camera setup. The OnePlus 11 includes the following camera specifications:

• 50MP main camera, Sony IMX890 sensor, f/1.8 aperture
• 48MP Ultra Wide Angle Sony IMX581 Sensor
• 32MP 2X zoom lens, Sony IMX709 sensor
• 16MP front camera, ISOCELL 3P9 (S5K3P9) sensor

The main and ultra-wide cameras are pretty expected, but we rarely see a 2X zoom lens, so it's a bit of a surprise.

And that might be nice: 2X gives users a 50mm field of view, close to what the human eye sees and a perfect lens for portrait photography. However, at the same time, only having a 2X lens means that long-range zoom won't be as good as on other phones.
