Google Pixel Fold: precio, fecha de lanzamiento, especificaciones y todos los rumores

The Google Pixel Fold has been on our radar for a while, even if rumors about the foldable phone have recently died down. However, several Google watchers insist we'll see a Pixel Fold in 2023. So, if that's true, what should we expect? Find out here!

Google Pixel Fold

With Google working to make Android compatible with foldable phones like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 , there's an argument that the search giant doesn't need to make its own foldable phone. But an idealized version of a foldable phone from Google's perspective is still a tempting idea.

This could mean more competition for the title of best foldable phone, which is always a good thing.

With the caveat that there are still more details about Google's foldable plans to emerge, here's what we've heard so far about the Google Pixel Fold and Google's foldable plans.

Google Pixel Fold rumored release date

The Google Pixel Fold release date has long been open to speculation, but now it has been suggested that it could launch in May 2023 alongside the Pixel Tablet.

Google typically holds its developer conference in May each year, and at the 2022 event, it showed off the Pixel 6a and Pixel 7 phones.

Other sources claim the Pixel Fold could arrive in late summer or early fall in the Northern Hemisphere. That would coincide with the likely launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 5, but it's much later than the other two sources say.

Google Pixel Fold Price

Some rumors indicate the Pixel Fold could cost less than the Galaxy Z Fold line, while others say it could cost as much as Samsung's top-tier foldables.

Right now, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is the most expensive foldable you can get, costing $1,799. Foldable phones like the new Galaxy Z Flip 4 or the Motorola Razr 5G are a bit more affordable at $999 and $1,399, respectively; though affordable is a relative term in this case.

Google Pixel Fold design

Based on the rumors so far, the Google Pixel Fold could look a lot like a thicker Google Pixel 7 Pro from the outside and then unfold like a Galaxy Z Fold 4 to reveal its larger internal display. But unlike the latter phone, the Pixel Fold could have a shorter but wider exterior display, offering a look that doesn't stray too far from the Oppo Find N.

New Google Pixel Fold renders, seemingly based on leaked information, show this design and hint at a foldable phone that sits between the Find N and Galaxy Z Fold 4, though it will apparently weigh much more than either model.

There's still a lot to learn about the new Google Pixel Fold, but at GSM Pro, you'll have everything you need to buy the new Google Pixel phones in Chile.
