New Redmi Note 12
In October 2021, Redmi announced the Redmi Note 11 series in China, and this year, on October 27, the company unveiled the Redmi Note 12 series.
Ahead of the launch , Redmi has been confirming key features of the Note 12 lineup. Additionally, some Chinese tipsters have dropped hints about the series' specifications.
The Redmi Note 12 lineup is rumored to include three models: the Redmi Note 12 Pro, Note 12 Pro+, and the Note 12 Explorer Version. Here's a look at all the information that's emerged so far about the Redmi Note 12 lineup.
Redmi Note 12 series release date
The Redmi Note 12 series launch event kicked off at 7 p.m. on October 27 in China. The event will be streamed live on the company's Weibo account and Chinese video streaming platforms.
The Redmi Note 12 series will look quite similar to the Redmi Note 11T lineup, which debuted in May of this year. The lineup is speculated to feature a flat OLED display and a rectangular camera module on the back.
The camera module is almost identical to the Note 11T. The only notable difference is that the Note 11T has a vertical LED flash unit, while the Note 12 has a horizontal one. The lineup appears to be equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Redmi Note 12 Pro and 12 Explorer specifications
The Note 12 Pro+ will come with a 200-megapixel Samsung HPX camera with OIS and a 5,000mAh battery. The device will also support 120W fast charging. It will come in Mirror Porcelain White, Midnight Dark, and Time Blue.
For its part, the Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition's main camera will be a 200-megapixel Samsung HPX with OIS. It appears the device will draw power from a smaller battery compared to the Note 12 Pro and 12 Pro+.
The Note 12 Explorer version will be the world's first smartphone to support 210W fast charging. The device is likely to achieve a full charge in just 9 minutes. It will come in Midnight Dark.
Redmi Note 12 launch in other countries
The global launch of any Redmi phone is highly anticipated on this side of the world. However, unfortunately, a clear date is still unknown.
