One way to personalize your Apple Watch Ultra is to create custom watch faces, whether by changing the photo, colors, feature positions, or even adding animations.
How to do it?
Keep reading as we tell you the various ways you can achieve this.
Different ways to customize Apple Watch Ultra
-
Customize with the covers that the app itself gives you
When you open the app on your iPhone, select the watch face gallery, and from there you'll see all the watch face options offered by the app. Clicking on one you like will reveal more customization options. You can, for example, change the interface color and also modify some complications.
-
Personalize with photos from your iPhone photo library
For this case, go to the app on your iPhone, select "General Settings," and then select "Photos." Then, select "Photo Album" to sync with your Apple Watch. From there, you can save all the wallpapers you want, all saved on your smartwatch at once.
Once you've uploaded a couple of photos, simply go to the "Photos" section of your Apple Watch and view all the photos on your phone, since they're all synced. Choose the photo you like best and create a watch face based on it.
-
Customize directly from the iPhone
In this case, you go directly to your iPhone gallery and choose a photo you want as the background for your watch face. Then, click the share button and select the "create watch face" option.
Once there, you'll see the watch face in two modes: one is "photo mode," which will display the watch face exactly as you would see it on your Apple Watch; the other is "kaleidoscope mode," which will create a more psychedelic shape.
Choose the mode you like best.
You can then customize it even further by changing the color, time position, and complications. When you click "Add," your phone syncs with your smartwatch, and you can see the face changes on your Apple Watch.
-
Add animations on Apple Watch Ultra
To add animations, keep in mind that if you have an Apple Watch with the "always-on display" feature, you'll need to disable it. You can check this in the display and brightness settings, where you can disable the "always on display" feature. This means that, from now on, you'll always have to tap it to activate your Apple Watch screen.
Now download the Gyphy app , where you can download the GIF you want for your watch face. Choose the GIF you like best, select "convert to Live Photo," and save it as a "fit to screen" photo. This way, it will adapt to your smartwatch screen.
Now you can search for it in your photo library, edit it however you like, and share it with your Apple Watch by selecting the “create watch face” option just like you would with the previous option.
