Nothing is more painful than owning a OnePlus 10 Pro and not getting the most out of it. That's why it's important to explore it to see how it can make our lives easier.
And since we know you don't always have the time or patience to discover all of its features, we've done some digging and found five very useful functions that will make your life easier.
-
Expand your RAM using virtual storage
If your phone is slow, you may be using too much RAM. Check if this is the case in "Startup Settings." Long-press the wallpaper and select "More." Now, in the recent tasks manager, you'll see the RAM/Memory for recent tasks function. RAM usage statistics are displayed there.
If you do indeed consume a lot of RAM, you have the option of expanding that memory.
How do you do it?
Use virtual RAM storage, which must be enabled, and add the amount of memory you want. To do this, go to Settings > About device > "RAM." Now increase the memory using the slider.
-
Balance life and work
An interesting feature on the One Plus 10 Pro is "Work-Life Balance." This feature helps increase your productivity by helping you focus on what you need for each role you play.
To activate it, go to "Settings" and search for "Special Features," then select "Work-Life Balance." Once there, you'll be asked to configure your work mode and life mode; select either option to begin.
By checking Work settings, you can determine the start and end times of your workday each day. Then, select the apps you'll allow to send you notifications while you work. You'll do the same with Life settings.
-
Gestures for quick access to functions
If there are some features you use constantly and want to have them always at hand, you'll love this feature.
Going to "System Settings," you'll find "Gestures and Motion," where you'll find a variety of gesture options. For example, one of them could be "Gestures with the screen off." There, you can select "Add a gesture" to select the gesture that will trigger the feature you want to see immediately.
Imagine you say “swipe down” and then choose what happens when you swipe down, for example, “open the calendar app.”
Done! Now every time you swipe down the screen, the calendar app will automatically open.
-
Partial screenshot
This is a feature that allows you to take a screenshot of just a portion of the screen, not the entire screen like the usual feature.
To activate it on One Plus 10 Pro, place 3 fingers on the screen, and it will activate automatically.
Once the box appears, size the part of the screen you want to capture and click OK.
Done, it has been sent to the gallery.
-
Answer a call by holding the phone to your ear
Nothing beats having a smartphone that does what you need it to do without you having to tell it to, like answering a call by simply holding the phone to your ear.
This is a feature you'll find under "gestures and movements," then select the "bring to ear to answer call" option.
You'll no longer have to worry about finding the answer button when the phone rings.
